Every space is built twice. The first time, with materials that can be measured: stone, light, wood, sound. The second happens when someone enters, and it is made of materials that cannot be drawn: emotion, culture, trust and memory.
That second construction is the hardest to define: it is what we sense when we enter a place, what makes us stay a little longer than intended, and what we remember months later without quite knowing why.
In this talk, Ala Zreigat and Oscar Engroba of Astet Studio will explore these intangible materials through built spaces and reflect on what transforms a project into an experience that endures beyond what we can see.
Because trends come and go, but what we experience within a space remains. Breaking away from the predictable is not a matter of style, but of what a space leaves with us long after we have gone.
