Light is the invisible element that shapes how we inhabit a space and how we feel within it. In this experimental lab, we will explore the relationship between architecture, light and photobiology to turn lighting into an asset for health and wellbeing within architectural projects.
Through a hands-on experience, we will explore the balance between photobiology and technical functionality, integrating biological wellbeing into architecture without compromising its aesthetic integrity. We will examine the latest lighting technologies and dynamic control systems, and explore how light interacts with different textures and materials, while gaining a deeper understanding of the parameters that define visual comfort.
We will also discover how warm and amber light spectra are not simply a matter of colour, but a design decision that can help protect our circadian rhythms and support human wellbeing.
A different approach to experimenting with light and gaining a new technical perspective on designing with a sensitivity that goes beyond the visible, making lighting a fundamental tool for creating more human-centred, conscious and healthy architecture.
