Born in Jordan, Ala moved to Barcelona in 2010 to study a master’s degree in architecture. Beforefounding the studio with Oscar, a long time friend, Ala collaborated for more than ten years indifferent internationally renowned architecture and interior design studios in the Middle East andSpain. Combining his sociability with his management skills and strategic thinking, Ala seeks toestablish fluid communications between the studio and the client while always upholding Astet’s corevalues.
Astet Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice founded in Barcelona by architects Óscar Engroba andAla Zreigat. The studio works across interior design, industrial design and branding, with a focus onhospitality environments.Astet’s work is grounded in context, material coherence and lived experience. Each project is shaped byauthenticity, human value and a careful balance between complexity and restraint. Design is understood as arelationship between function and atmosphere, where ideas become spaces that feel clear, expressive andenduring.Astet Studio has been recognised internationally through selected publications and industry awards,including AD100 for Europe and the Middle East.
