The future is now

For years, artificial intelligence was presented as a distant possibility. Today, however, it is already part of everyday practice at leading architecture and interior design studios, particularly in demanding sectors such as hospitality.

AI has moved beyond simple text prompts for generating images. It now enables dynamic video generation, automated creation of 3D objects, large-scale urban planning and highly optimised layouts for interior spaces, from overall zoning to the configuration of the smallest residential units.

This technological leap is bringing about a fundamental change in the profession: the emergence of new roles such as the AI architecture specialist or AI Manager. Increasingly relevant in contemporary studios, this role brings together computing, design and efficient workflows.

In this new era, it is essential to examine both the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence and the challenges, tensions and new questions its adoption raises for architecture and design.
