Over the past two decades, Spanish architect Maria Garcia-Arribas has forged an impressive career in international hospitality design across Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Since joining BAR Studio in 2010, Maria has worked across all aspects of the award-winning interior design practice, from leading teams in developing hotel & resort concepts to seeing projects through to successful completion. Among her portfolio of projects at BAR Studio, Maria has led Park Hyatt Sydney (2012), Rosewood Phuket (2017) and Rosewood Villa Magna (2021). Maria was instrumental in establishing BAR Studio's Madrid base in her home city in 2019, from where she now oversees the studio’s European operation. Maria brings a truly global perspective by serving as a client liaison and project lead on the firm’s luxury hospitality designs in Europe and the Americas, while overseeing select projects in the Asia-Pacific, making her an integral part of the studio's international team.
