From vibrant social hubs to spaces dedicated to wellbeing, luxury hotels are taking on an increasingly diverse range of functions and new roles, responding to an evolving vision of hospitality that calls for more inclusive, flexible spaces capable of adapting to different uses and needs.
In this talk, Maria will explore the evolving role of luxury hotels within both global and local communities through real-world examples and different design perspectives. The session will examine what is driving these changes and how hotels are responding to new ways of travelling, connecting, working, resting and prioritising wellbeing.
Through a range of case studies, the talk will show how design can help create spaces that are able to evolve, serve multiple purposes and establish new relationships with both guests and the communities around them.
